Mexico offers a huge variety of saltwater and freshwater flyfishing areas and Phil Shook's book is the most thorough guide that exists. He covers all of the light tackle and and fly opportunities, including guides, lodges and DIY venues. He describes the ins and outs of how to get there, what to do and who to contact. These days many international anglers have lots of questions about Mexico and his experience and research really makes this book shine. I have been an outfitter in Mexico for many years and it is obvious he really knows his subject matter. Highly recommended whether or not you have fished south of the border before.
My husband and I highly recommend Phil's book, Flyfisher's Guide to Mexico. We took a wonderful trip to Casa Blanca Lodge in February and used Phil's book as a reference tool before our trip and as a great follow up after our trip.
